Garden Trails

There are lots of ways to go round the Gardens. Look at some of the trails below. After you have tried one why not make your own trail and get it published on the website.

Create your own trail

The Birmingaham Botanical Gardens Young Botanics Maths Trail (7-11 yrs)
This is a maths trail around the Gardens for any young botanic who is aged 7-11 years.

The map shows you the where you need to go to find the answer to the questions. Each question has a picture with it so you will know you are in the right place.

The Birmingham Botanical Gardens Senses Trail for Young Botanics (5-7 yrs)
This is a trail for young botanics to see, hear and feel things around you. You will need:

paper and crayons

for bark rubbings
egg box for collecting bits and pieces

postcard size bits of card and pencil

for writing things down
Some sticky backed card for collecting colour

The Birmingham Botanical Gardens Poetry Trail
This trail is based on the work of Don Barnard, Birmingham Poet Laureate 2004/5. You will find his poems in many places in the Gardens.

Joana's trail
Mine is a 4month(by now only 2/3 weeks)-portuguese-view trail. I'm discovering this Gardens day by day, most at lunch time or during some training with some of the members of the Great Staff I've been getting to know...

Enjoy this trail after discovering your own, because I'm sure it can be much more interesting to get lost in this Wonderland.

Mikes Trail
This trail is my feelings about the Gardens and the bits that I think are special
